I bought a vintage motorcycle (1966 Vespa Sprint 150cc) overseas 10 years ago. I've never been able to drive it and it's since become a really expensive conversation piece in my living room. I'd like to sell it now, but I'm not sure how to go about handling the missing title. Could I sell it without the title and let the new owner title it, or will I need to get a title first before I can sell it? I live in Ohio if that helps.

If someone wasn't an expert and was rebuilding or restoring an old Harley, like a Knucklehead, are there any parts or pieces that might be easy to mistakenly put on backward, upside down, or wrong without realizing? It doesn't really matter what part of the bike it is, or whether or not it would affect how the bike runs (or doesn't) as long as an expert, looking at it would be able to tell right away.

I'm looking for some 3.25x16 and 3.00x16 tires from Coker Tire, but they want $38 to ship them to North Carolina. I think they are smoking pcp. Who else sells vintage motorcycle tires that might not show up on the google? Like goodyear grasshopper type

I have a 1966 Honda Dream and according to the manual it takes 3.25 X 16 tires. These are an old size style and they are not relevant to modern tire equivalents. What would be the closest tire size equivalent that I can mount on my wheels? Do you have any brand and model recommendations? I have gotten vintage size/style tires from Coker but am not satisfied with the quality.

I have been looking everywhere online, and cant find any new full face helmets, that dont look like they belong on some kid from a japanese cartoon or a Yu-gi-oh trading card. There's a huge market for vintage racing cars, and even motorcycles. Granted during races like The Tour de France a cyclist may use several bikes, but I would imagine that certain winning bikes could be very valuable or just simply desired by collectors. What happens to bikes after the races? Imagine owning the Trek that Lance road around the Champs-Élysées on his 7th tour? Or the bike Eddy Merckx rode won to win Mont Ventoux?

I am interested in buying a vintage motorcycle from a seller in Florida. It is a Vespa. I've owned about 30 of these in the past and they often are sold with a bill of sale only. However, this was before I moved to North Carolina. How does one register a vehicle (1981) with no title in North Carolina from an out of state buyer? I'm unsure about Florida but I know alot of states did not issue titles on mopeds, scooters, and small displacement motorcycles years ago.

I've tried to take all necessary precautions when riding in a skirt and heels (details below) and am just trying to understand the real reasons why everyone thinks this is so unsafe. All I hear is that it is bad and it ends at that. I'm not riding in stilettos and mini skirts either. Can someone enlighten me so that I can make a better decision on the matter? I've been riding for about a year now and I love it. I'm a skirt and heels kind of girl though and always have been. Right now I ride in a pair of vintage boots that are made from a good thick leather (better than some motorcycle boots out there) and they do have a nice 3" heel on them, something that I feel even helps me in my riding since I know exactly where my foot is on the peg at all times and they've helped me keep my feet in place during one or two gravel slips. Now that my custom boots are coming in finally I'll be riding in over the knee boots (custom tailored to riding) and knee length skirts of medium to thick fabric (equal to jeans). Now, I feel that I've taken the proper precautions for around town riding. My shoes are thick and resistant to heat. They are sturdy and have a thick rubber sole. The skirts are about as thick as the jeans of the men I ride with. Is there something I'm missing? I understand that I am of limited experience and with the amount of people telling me how unsafe this all is I have to wonder if there is something else to it. To add a few more details: The rubber soles do have good grip, a part of the customized order. It's a grip similar to my current pair which I have used to stop on everything from a painted line to thick gravel. I have found no problem with the grip. The heels are fairly well reinforced and shouldn't snap, but if they do, I always carry a pair of running shoes in any vehicle I own for various reasons and will have no problem picking up the heel and riding my bike off to a safe location to change. As for holding the skirt down. I haven't permanently decided on the system, but the general idea was a garter system to the boots since it is easy to install to all my skirts and the boots themselves. I'm not planning on every riding highway or fast roads in a skirt because it comes untucked and flaps. I have gone down once before when a car pulled over on me and yes, I know road rash hurts. It hurt in jeans. It'll hurt worse in a skirt, but going 30-40 mph the jeans won't save my life. Good point about the stockings and nylons. Thank you Easygoin. I do a little fire dancing and should have applied the knowledge that nylons melt much too easily to my knowledge about riding safely. I haven't worn them on the bike yet, and I'll remember not to be tempted next time I'm running late for a meeting.

Hey all, I'm curious about a type of vintage vehicle that we all know and love. Recently my car was stolen and trashed in a joyride, and the insurance payout has finally come. While I have a motorcycle and can get around easily, I live in the Chicago area and its not practical at all, so a car is needed, preferably a sporty one. An idea popped into my head not too long ago about what car I should get. I used to own a 92 300ZX Turbo, and I absolutely loved that car before it died. After doing a bit of research and looking around car shows I have come to the conclusion I want one of the original Datsun/Nissan Z cars before they morphed into ZXs. So my question is this: which year would you guys recommend? How many are there out there in good condition, what problems should I look for above what normal problems a car made in the late 60s or early 70s would have? Anything would be helpful. Thanks!

I don't understand why they wear half helmets in MLB when in College and High school and so on wear full helmets, and if your a righty what side isn't covered. Thanx

Are states that have helmet laws really allowing those things to be called helmets? Don't mistake me for a helmet law guy. There are times I go helmet-less and times I want the best head, ear and eye protection. My choice. I just get a kick out of people who wear 'motorcycle hats' for whatever reason.

I'm looking at a few vintage cruisers from the 40s-early 60s. I want a basket or rack from groceries. Is it hard to find a carrier to fit on an old bike like that? Should I get a bike that already has a rack/basket?

What is the verdict on Raleigh vintage road bikes from the 80's? Beginner cyclist seeking low cost 1st bike. There are a couple I have my eye on, mostly due to their low cost and my minimal budget of about 200 CAD. What's the scoop? Quality? Downfalls? Things to watch for? I recently received a few things from a will. One of them is an old metal money clip from my great uncle who raced Indian motorcycles in 1901. That is the same year when Hendee manufacturing bought Indian motorcycles. It appears in excellent condition. I believe it is tin, but could be wrong. I cant find anything about this on the internet. Someone told me there are only a few in existance. Does anyone know anything about this item?

A friend of mine recently bought an Indian motorcycle frame on E-Bay but cant figure out what year it is. The model is an Indian Chief, but thats as far as much as he knows, the serial number on the photo of the frame is either 3024420570 or 302-420570 or 302A420570....he cant really tell becasue the picture of it isnt very clear.

The batch of negatives I have also contain images of old bi-panes and automobiles, but mostly contain images of vintage Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Some of the images are taken just outside the manufacturing plant in Milwaukee, some are taken at time trial events, some are of members of the Princeton Motorcycle Club, and many are taken of just the bikes themselves. I love my Harley Davidson Motorcycle. I have had many and I mean many other makes of motorcycles. When Harley Davidson is mentioned anywhere in answering a question they are referred to Outdated, Mechanically inferior, etc...Do these people really know what they are talking about or just Jealous? I know the answer but have at it..

I sometimes see 5 year old motorcycles with only 300 miles on them. Conversely, most 10 year old cars would have at least 100k miles on them.

The Alabama State law requires that 14 and 15 year old motorcycle drivers have an engine with at most 150cc displacement and weigh 200 pounds or less. If I could find one that is also a crotch rocket, it would be best. I don't want a dirt bike either, just a crotch rocket. Also, I didn't ask for peoples opinions about riding motorcycles, just where I can find one that meets these specifications.
